You can experience brush-dyeing at Kondo Dyeing Factory, which was established in 1898 and has a history of more than 120 years.
Before the experience, you can observe the work of the craftsmen who actually make the big-catch flags and other products at the factory!

You can choose from three different designs that are unique to Asahikawa.
(1) Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter (2) Asahi Bridge (3) Asahiyama Zoo

(2) Asahi Bridge (3) Asahiyama Zoo (4) Asahiyama Zoo (5) Date and name can be added. (Only for designs (2) and (3), numbers, hiragana, and alphabets are available.

Meet at Kondo Dyeing Factory
2) Talk about the history of the factory, etc.
(3) Observation of the factory and craftsmen at work
(4) Brush dyeing experience
5) Completion (to be sent home at a later date)
It takes about one week to complete the furoshiki.
