Founded in 1898, Kondo Dyeing Factory has over 120 years of history, and here you can experience traditional brush-dyed textile craftsmanship.
Before the workshop, you can also observe the artisans at work as they create fishing flags and other items right in the factory!

[Workshop Details]
Original furoshiki dyeing experience using the traditional brush-dyeing technique (1 piece)

【Highlights】
・Choose from three designs unique to Asahikawa
① Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter ② Asahibashi Bridge ③ Asahiyama Zoo


・You can add a date and name (available only for designs ② and ③; supports numbers, hiragana, and the alphabet)

[Experience Schedule]
① Meet at the Kondo Dyeing Factory
② Talk about the factory, including its history
③ Tour of the factory and observation of the artisans at work
④ Hand-brushing traditional dyeing experience
⑤ Completion (will be mailed to your home at a later date)
*Please note that it takes approximately one week to complete the furoshiki
⑥ Tour concludes on-site

*If the lot is full, please use a nearby pay-and-display parking lot.

Please wear clothes that can get dirty.
We ask that you wear the aprons provided by the factory during the workshop.
